Troy Ave recently stopped by the Breakfast Club to respond to critics and the social media slander after selling only less than 5,000 copies of his brand new album “Major Without A Deal”. Even though 5,000 copies is very below average for 1st week album sales, Troy Ave is completely independent, meaning that he pays for his own marketing, promotion, distribution, pays for his own press/public relations etc. He doesn’t have a major label backing him in a secret development deal where they promote under the table like how Macklemore and Ryan Lewis did even though they claimed to be independent.

Here in this video, Troy Ave explains the Indie Grind.
