This music production for beginners video looks at how to make beats in Cubase with the drum editor, an easy and fun process which integrates completely with all other areas of Cubase. Groove Agent SE is a great VST instrument source of drum sounds in Cubase. You can choose the drum sounds you like within Groove Agent and draw in the hits on the drum editor, creating drum maps to make sure the drum names correspond with the drum hits in Groove Agent. Drawing in beats and choosing what you want to have in your drum loops is quick and simple. You can also quickly change the velocity of the drum samples, which is really important to the dynamics of a groove, or import other drum samples. There are many more options for how to make beats, to put your own unique signature on your music production in Cubase.

I use both Cubase Pro 10 and NI Maschine MK3. I wonder if it's possible to have a "repeat" feature of the MK3 to be integrated into future Cubase update. Perhaps the step values such as 8th or 16th etc can be triggered via midi so you can make rhythmic variations on the fly when sequencing in Cubase. Maybe there's a workaround to achieve this that you might wanna share in your next upload. Thanks!

Personally I would have liked to see a step sequencer built into Groove Agent, to built your own patterns there, and maybe save it as part of a kit.

Very very well done.
